Game Play

Lacrosse Seven’s is 7 vs 7 played on a field 1/3 the size of a regular field. Playing 7 vs 7 in a small space gives participants the opportunity to play field lacrosse while reaping the benefits from playing lacrosse in a smaller space similar to box lacrosse. This translates into maximum touches and reps per player in all positions with LTAD (Long Term Athletic Development supports small sided games to maximize individual skill development and building sports IQ and decision making). The league will kick off in week one with a practise focused on skill development and player evaluation. Following week one teams will be formed. Prior to each game coaches will run a 20 minute practise focusing on a different skill each week. Players will play against players of equal age and skill set. Players will have an opportunity to try different positions throughout the regular season. Reversible Pinnie included.
